Tucked away on the north eastern coast of Taiwan, is the beautiful city of YiLan, known for it’s abundant hot springs. It is surrounded by the ocean on one side and mountains all the rest. No surprise I like the town, reminds me of Santa Barbara, CA.

View from the top of Taiwan's largest body of water, sun moon lake (日月潭). It's named because the east side of the lake is shaped like the sun and the west side, the moon. Nantou, the area around sun moon lake is home to the Thao tribe, one of aboriginal tribes of Taiwan.
